Michael Marcel Fuchs studied painting from 1983 to 1987 at the Free Art School in Stuttgart and at the Art Students League of New York.
The artist subsequently had international exhibitions and worked in studios in New York, Berlin and Madrid.
In the mid-1990s he went to Hamburg to study art history, cultural studies and ethnology at the University of Hamburg.
In addition to his work as a freelance artist, he was interested in ethnological and socio-cultural topics, which still influence his art today. He also worked on exhibition and museum concepts. In 2013 he became museum director of the Schloss Langenstein Fasnacht Museum. His main interest there is international mask rituals and the use of artificial intelligence in museums. Despite his many interests, however, his focus is still on painting. Michael Marcel Fuchs lives in Berlin and on Lake Constance.
